I don't even know where to begin. Residents will press their button to activate the light outside of their rooms to signal that they need help, more than likely with aid to the bathroom. . .then, they wait, and wait, and wait, sometimes an hour or more. I was told that 20 minutes is an acceptable time for them to wait for assistance. . .these are elderly people, they can't wait 20 minutes, when they have to go, they have to go. Some of the aids are rough and mean as well. People are put into the TV room and are almost falling out of their wheelchairs fast asleep.
The food service is a complete mess. . .I wonder how many people who work in the kitchen actually have food service training??? Most of the food is good, but some is inedible.
Shared rooms are much too small, just a bit more room would help. The facility decor is very outdated looking. . .needs a complete overhaul.
I've complained about all of this on numerous occasions, to numerous people. . .I'm hoping that my complaints are taken to heart. Most of the staff is very sweet and accessible. . .there are some that are cranky and have no personality what so ever. . .they should not be working with the elderly.
