Review of Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

1 Star User Review

Urgent, If your parent, family member, friend or loved one CAN NOT WALK or get out of bed, this IS NOT the facility for them to come to in order to get better, in order to enable them to walk. Physical therapy sessions are not long (depending on the individual) and if they are in a wheel chair and CAN NOT HELP themselves, they are placed back in that chair to sit for SEVERAL HOURS on end until their bed time.

NO CNA's on site, to help them with more (or regular) physical therapy (when they get back to their floor), unless the doctors give the orders for them to do so should your loved one need "extra help" (which mine did and NEVER got sadly). Most of the nurses are very nice and pleasant, and others as well but this won't help your loved one, should they really need to get back on their feet (especially if they're 50 and over). PLEASE KEEP YOUR LOVED ONE(S) AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY, AND LOOK FOR ONE THAT HAS IF POSSIBLE ROUND THE CLOCK PHYSICAL THERAPY CARE, AT LEAST "THROUGH OUT THE DAY"???

I totally agree. The rehab there is also a joke. Most of the therapists including the director talk endlessly about inapproprate subjects. I guess they think most of the residents don't understand or hear what they are saying. There are many many nursing homes out there. Keep your loved one AWAY!
