Review of Harmon Hospital - Skilled Nursing Facility

1 Star User Review

My Mom was released from St. Rose Hospital to Harmon Rehab facility. The only instructions were that, to get well fast, she needed to walk as much as possible. Since she was on oxygen, we needed a portable oxygen tank in order to walk her. We asked for a tank. The nurse said she'd get one. We did not see her the rest of the day. I ask again for a tank the following day. The nurse said she'd go find one. In the meantime, my Mom is languishing in the bed, getting weaker instead of stronger. By late afternoon, with nobody paying any attention to my Mom, except to bring meals, I went out in the hall and screamed to see the manager. I made quite a scene and had people from all over the facility coming to see what all the noise was about. Needless-to-say, they found me an oxygen tank. The problem wasn't that they didn't have plenty of tanks … they didn't have the regulators which go on top of the tanks. Thus, for approximately 110 patients, only 2 or 3 fully operable tanks were available. Only because I was there day and night did my loved one survive this place. DO NOT put anyone you care about into this facility!
