Horrible, Horrible Place! My dad was placed there after a fall. The place is old and smelly. The furniture looks 50 years old. The staff is lazy and unprofessional. Nobody, including the nurses or doctors could answer our questions. We could not even FIND anyone to ask and when we did they had an attitude. My dad received NO rehab and sat in his room all day and looked out the window. They supposedly have a full calendar of activities, but I NEVER saw anything. The patients sat in their rooms or in the halls all day. They would beg me to take them out when I came to see my dad. We reported the place three times in two months. He was worse off when he left than when he went. We decided to take him home and pay for care. DO NOT SEND YOUR RELATIVES TO THIS PLACE. YOU WILL BE SORRY@ It deserves 0 stars.

My grandfather moved into Crystal Creek in Florissant, MO because my grandmother (who normally takes care of him) was in the hospital with anemia. My family felt that a trained staff would be able to take better care of him than we could alone. WRONG! The staff at Crystal Creek left him without his dentures so he was unable to eat, no one helped him eat meals except for the family when visiting, and then he fell and broke his hip and has to have surgery. A WWII veteran in his 90s should not be ignored and left to fall, causing a painful, risky and expensive surgery. Needless to say, after only a few days in the facility he is no longer staying at Crystal Creek, and the family will have an in-home nurse from now on. Avoid Crystal Creek if you care about your loved ones! They made things worse when they were supposed to be helping our family!

As a recent consumer of care at Manorcare / Florissant, I am most disgusted and disappointed in this facility. The day we took my loved one to admit her we had a 20 minute wait for someone to come and bring a wheelchair to the car as we were told once the resident was on their property we had to wait for a nurse to escort her in. Once inside the building, there were no sheets on the bed, the room was dirty and there was no one availlable to do an initial intake with her. It seemed they were clearly not ready for her.
She has had 3 falls since her admission date, the most recent one resulted in a trip by ambulance to the hospital only AFTER we were told the in house doctor COULD NOT see her as he was just there the day before. She sustained rope burns from an inadequately trained CNA who attempted to use the HOYA lift with no one helping her. The previous day I was in the administrator's office and she informed me that there should always be 2 persons operating the lifts. My loved one has been caused extreme pain and suffering in this facility due to a lack of caring by Cna's, nurses and nearly everyone there. My loved one is a diabetic, legally blind, wheelchair bound heart patient and we were told upon many visits PRIOR to admission that the staff there could take good care of her.
My loved ones blood sugars are skyrocketing since her admission into the mid 200 to mid 300's. She is afraid of everyone in the facility now as she has been hurt 3 times. My sibling and myself have to be there with her nearly all day EVERY day to be sure there are no further incidents. My advice: STEER CLEAR OF MANORCARE!!!!!!
Pillars of North County Health & Rehab Center, The Florissant, Missouri 63033
Although my mother was at the Pillars for a very short time before her unexpected passing, I was so impressed with them. The facility was so clean and every staff member I met was friendly and accommodating. I personally work at a LTC facility out of state but found the Pillars to be one of the best nursing facilities I have encountered. We fully expected my Mother to return after her hospital stay since she also liked it there but it was not to be.
Crystal Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center Florissant, Missouri 63031
Overall the facility is not adequately staffed and the existing staff tends to pay little or no attention to significant patient needs. Meals are woefully inadequate and do not meet the nutritional needs of all patients based on dietary requirements. It appears that one menu is prepared for each meal and the patients either eats or starves. Meals such bolagna sandwiches and leftovers from previous meals not eaten by other patients is common.
