Unfortunately I am the first to make this review and discuss the problems at this NH. My parents have been to several NH throughout their elderly years but this has to be the worst conditions we have encountered. First off this facility is severly understaffed….My mother's call light was on for 40 minutes for her to get to the bathroom. There are other residents screaming and yelling in the hallways and TV area that make it very disturbing to everyone. Asking for a nurse to come to the room is pretty much out of the question because they are as busy as the Aides. Very dissapointed in the money spent at this facility. I moved my mother home with me because she was so miserable and took better care of her myself.

I was a nurse here and understand all of your concerns. It was not that we DIDN'T want to help everyone when they needed, we just did not have the staffing to allow us to do so. I do feel your pain and, as a previous employee who left for these same reasons, have found it in myself that I will not place myself in the position that I cannot help someone who needs help due to "staff cuts."
In the end it comes to administration and the hours they allow us to have on the floor. BUT, when the administrator comes to the floor (very infrequently as you would note) she would become upset because lights would not be attended to immediately. HELLO, we all know this!!!!! When you have 2 aides down a hall who are getting a hoyer lift out of his room and the nurse is down another hall doing a wound treatment….who do you expect to do this??? It is entirely in the staffing. If you want good service you have to have the staff. This facility worked us to death…and we never got credit for anything…..that is why the entire nursing staff has left this facility since you were there.
