My mother had been independent and has had two pretty long stays at the facility that required rehabilitation after countless back surgeries. She always opted to return to the facility and was welcomed back warmly by the staff, some having 30+ years of service and some only 1-2 yrs. A few months ago, she was discharged home - only able to remain home less than one week, being now considered long term care. Guess where she chose to return? Warren Woods! This is a huge adjustment for all of us, but mom chose to return to the very facility she had been at for several rehabs to live out her life. We have had occasion to meet most of the staff members and found MOST to be willing to assist and management very willing to address staff issues correctly. Reading some of these posts, prompted me to put mom's story up here. There are always a few 'bad apples' everywhere but with our history at Warren Woods, we have found every situation handled to our liking. Talk to the administrator, he is very approachable. Be involved in your loved one's care. Join Family Council! The ONLY reason I didn't give the facility a full five stars is that it is an older building and may not possess the bells and whistles of some other facilities.. but it has heart… you cannot purchase that! Do your homework -- some of the places you are posting about that are more beautiful are ranked with less stars than Warren Woods. Every post is subjective.. those I have read, and this one that I am posting. I felt compelled to post.

Thanks for your review. I too, have my Uncle there, and have been extremely satisfied with the staff, and level of care he receives. He was at a more expensive facility last year (one of the higher-end homes) and the care was terrible. Just because a place looks nicer, and costs more, does not by any means ensure your loved one will get the best care. I almost didn't take my Uncle to Warren Woods based on the bad reviews I read below, but if you compare it with the state and national averages, Warren Woods fares much better.
