Review of Signature Healthcare of Fort Wayne

1 Star User Review

Very understaffed but nurses and aides working really hard. Beautiful landscaping. Management & administration very hands off (not in a good way) & evasive in answering questions, not very long on taking responsibility for things that are problematic with care of family member, don't appear to be professional with staff they supervise (rude to them).

Nurses often slow to notify family, POA's, doctors, etc. about changes in family members' conditions. Advice: check public results carefully of state survey. Better yet, pick another facility!

You couldn't have said it better! If they spent half the amount on the inside as they do the out it could be a better place. It was pitiful the quality of care they provide not just to our loved one but others. They are very short staffed and the employees are over worked…to the point many mistakes made. Look around there are much better facilities out there!!

I do NOT recommend this facility for anyone, least of all someone who has no family to keep an eye on their family. Floors were filthy and littered with debri. Training for staff is either non-existent or poor, though the staff in general seemed compassionate .Nurses and CNAs were extremely noisy coming in and out of the facility, letting doors slam shut and yelling down the hallways. Not one of the staff reviewed the chart from an ER before or after my patient arrived and handled her too rough for having 2 fractures, which nobody seemed to know anything about until I told them. Do not stay here.
