Grove is so much nicer than what we experienced at The Scottish Home in North Riverside. Actually far better in comparison. That's why we got our parent out. We were very displeased with several staff members, especially the head nurse there. Grove is new fresh and not like your everyday nursing facility. Our choice after an unfavorable one at The Scottish Home is The Grove of LaGrange Park. Mom is much happier there also most importantly.

I can't believe your talking about the same place were my mom was. Second floor. She was not treated very nicely. When I went to visit I saw the most unhappy staff I have ever seen. I walked off the elevator looking for a friendly staff member and the head nurse glared at me. My mother asked to go to the bathroom several times I offered to take her myself. We waited over an hour until I found a man to help my mother. The aide said that she wasn't able to lift my mother. It is a sad day if you are forced to leave your loved one there. Never giving the resident enough water. Things that I sent my mother were missing and I know she recieved them because I have messages from my mother that she got them. When I asked them about where they were a nurse told me she never saw those items. Enough said it isn't a good place
