Review of Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

my mother stayed in this rehab for 2 weeks. the people were sweet to her and her physical therapy was structured and well administered. occupational therapy was fairly evenly done. her cognitive therapy and speech therapy happened 3 times the entire stay with 3 different therapists. her newly assigned therapists thought she needed more intense therapy but in the care meeting the physical therapists carried the weight… my mother had a hard time once home because she was was home too soon. this is a very big issue in the welfare of the patient because patients and family are already stressed, afraid, and exhausted. while the number of personnel comply with state mandates there are not sufficient staff to care for the needs of such needy people. the people we met were kind to my mother but she could walk to the nurses station when her needs were not met in a timely manner. we heard alarms go on for what seemed like eternity for people stuck in the bathroom or not ambulatory. my mother's stress would intensify as she imagined the calamities taking place with the other patients. it was pitiful for us all to hear the pleas for help and alarming to know how long it was taking to answer distress calls.
