Can't believe even ONE person gave this hellhole a 5 star rating! Maybe their loved one was only a short term rehab patient and not a long term resident. Where do I start? Should I start with the urine/feces smell that smacks you in the face the minute you head down the hallway the residents live on? Having had one parent there short term and one parent who lives there long term, I feel as if I am qualified to give an opinion. Some of the employees (and I have a good friend who worked with some of them and told me what REALLY goes on) are uncaring and extremely lacking in knowledge! Every time my father needed to be moved up in the bed, these two brainacs would grab the sheet, slide it upward and slam his head on the headboard, causing him to scream in pain (he was already in pain). Now, should we get to the financial department? Don't get me started…..I was being billed for a month in which I made payment. When I asked the finance department to print out every payment I made I was told they weren't able to do that and I would have to go to my bank and pay to get copies of every check I sent….??? I was waiting on a large sum of money from an annuity (which they knew) and it took at least 3 months to receive it…in which time, I was harrassed, the POLICE came to my home saying I was subject to arrest for "elder abuse" for not paying it and my mother was going to be shipped to some county place. I had jury duty and my fiance called this Monday to let them know the check had been mailed and he was told "we are tired of these bogus calls…too bad, we're MOVING her"……and then Shirley hung up on him!!!! I am so upset that I'm contacting the state regulatory board for nursing homes and the corporate office for consulate. If you have ANY other choice of a nursing home, do it!! Lastly, I had two doctors let me know, in so many words, that there were "other places" I should put her. What does that tell you?
