My family picked Lake Bennett for my mother after knee surgery because at first glance it was a nice facility. It was an overall terrible choice. Within the 4weeks of her stay she developed an infection of her surgery incision site. I specifically watched the nurses attempt to change her dressings without washing there hands. As an advocate for my mothers health I would think nurses would know better. She developed a bed sore on her bottom because outside of 1 hour PT, the staff did not make her reposition. The CNA's barely spoke english and were very rude. The usual excuse for my mothers untimely blood sugar checks was because they where short staffed and only one nurse to 30 patients. It gets even worst when my mother tells me her roommate who hwd the tendency to wander fell out the bed. Nothing was done. The Cna just helped her back into bed. Later that day she complained of pain the nurse tells my mother she always complains of pain. Really!!! Were very glad it was only for a short term stay.
