My mother has been at this facility for approximately 4 years. I do not reside close by but my brother did at the time she was admitted. My brother has since moved but the care given and the conditions at the facility prompted us not to remove her to a more accessible place. I can only say that without announcing my arrival I have never seen my mother unkept or unhappy, the food is good and I have found the attendants to be courteous & caring. I travel 3 hours north to see my mother and believe it to be a fine facility without being private. Many private facilities that I have visited cannot compete with the conditions of Island health. Highly recommended.
