My mom was there for about 8 months……8 months too long..the place is DIRTY, smells of urine, horrible food, residents doing nothing but hanging off wheel chairs in the living room, lethargic, ill-trained, uncaring nursing and cna staff ( my mom was not getting her proper meds and was not leaving her room or eating) …AWFUL place…my mom is now thriving in her new assisted living home in Massachusetts. Do your homework carefully before placing your loved one in any of these places… and do it well in advance before an emergency has you having to find one of these places asap as was my situation. What may seem pretty nice when you're stressed and desperate to get your Mom or Dad in somewhere can turn out to be a disaster!
