Review of Santa Cruz Post Acute

4 Star User Review

My stay at this facility went really well. I actually live in Salinas, but my daughter lives here in Santa Cruz and she wanted me to be closer to her while i recover and most of my family lives here in Santa Cruz so they also wanted me closer so they can visit. I came from the Acute Rehab from Natividad in Salinas but it was too much for me to handle i was getting many hours of therapy and i was tired all the time it was wearing me off. So my daughter suggested just regular rehab and found this facility. The people here are amazing they all treated me with respect and kindness. When i arrived i was put in a room with 3 people which was ok, but once a 2 bedroom opened up they transferred me over. The new room was so big and spacious. Housekeeping came everyday to come and clean it. They even asked me if it was ok for them to clean while i was laying in bed which was nice of them. Therapy went really well; i felt like i still had some energy to keep going on with my day. They really helped me gain my strength back its because of them i'm ready to go back home. The only thing i would change about therapy would be is that sometimes they would just show up when id be busy or with company and they'd say it was time for therapy. Some therapist would inform me of my therapy time and some didn't which I didn't like because sometimes I wasn't ready. I hope they can change that and i hope that in the future they would tell their patients a schedule of their therapy so they can be ready and so they can tell their family. Other than that everything else went very well, the nurses, the aids were wonderful. I'm going to miss the activities ladies and eating in the dinning room with the other residents. Going to the dinning room was something i really enjoyed. The people who served my food were very friendly. Im so glad I'm going home because theirs no place like home but I'm happy and glad my daughter found this facility for me to get better which i did.
