Great Place!
Palm Garden of Orlando Orlando, Florida 32825
Clean facility, very nice staff but you REALLY have to stay on them if your family member needs something to be changed. My father-in-law is very tall and needed a larger/longer bed - by the time they found one, he had badly injured his heel and to this date it has not healed which has totally stopped any physical rehab efforts to help him get up and walking again. Be the squeaky wheel!
Rio Pinar Health Care Orlando, Florida 32822
Happy with the care at this facility, many changes made through out the years. My father has been there for 3 years and we are happy with the services provided by the staff. Clinically they are equipped to care for my father, and everyone is very kind.
Palm Garden of Orlando Orlando, Florida 32825
This is one of the worst facilities in my opinion! Residents are left to sit in their wet clothing for sometimes an hour…no communication between the staff and the families of the resident. They don't even take the time to fully know the resident's requests re: Living Wills, etc. I personally witnessed a female resident going through the nurses' cart trash…"collecting it". I pointed it out to a staff member who took the trash and quickly sanitized his own hands but left the resident with her hands dirty. That should have been my first clue. I will never utilize this facility again or recommend it to anyone. It is quite apparent they are more focused on the physical appearance of the facility in lieu of the residents' physical care! You should focus more on hiring staff to accommodate the residents and their care/comfort. Isn't that what you advertise? Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Pain Management … I SAW VERY LITTLE OF THAT TOWARDS MY FATHER !!!!! Our family regrets ever coming through your doors !!!!

Palm Garden, ignored patients when they want to go to the bathroom, some can are very lazy. They are cover up in that nursing home. Think before you put your love one.
Life Care Center of Orlando Orlando, Florida 32817
Most of the nursing staff is wonderful - however - they are grossly understaffed, so patients that need help or attention end up being neglected to a degree.
The nurses do the best they can, but as I said they are understaffed and hugely over worked.
There should be a doctor on the premises - not "on call ".
Orlando Health and Rehabilitation Center Orlando, Florida 32805
Truly an abysmal place to take you loved ones. Staff is rude, food quality is poor and the place smells of urine and feces. This is not a nursing home it is an insane asylum. I speak from experience. Screamers in the rooms and hallways. Nurses are the bottom of the barrel and CNAs are the worst I have seen. I spent hours at a time and caught RNs lying about medications. CNAs scolding patients. If I could give it a minus one star I would.

I love this place, I want to lick the floors and roll around on them. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I want to live here forever.

At this moment I have my mom in this place, not because I choose this place unfortunately I loss the of attorney of her and her Guardian name Rebecca is the one who decide for my mom or for my family, my mother is suffering of dehydration and deficient nutrition and they are giving her morphin and Zanax for pain that she is not having, we been calling Rebecca and sending several emails with no response, this place is accelerating my mother's death with no care at all, right now I'm contacting the Local News to complain this situation, it is not fair for a human been to die for starvation and dyhaidration, I just found our this place is a Non-profit corporation and I did sent a certify letter to Rebecca requesting to return my mom home, the letter has several signatures from family, friends and witnesses. So this is a place of death.

Staff are terrible they show you like they don't care, how the things are in the facility and if the facility don't have all the supplies to do what they need to do so who cares, that is the way I see of the attitude the CNA and the rest of the staff have. SHAME of THEM!!!!

My mother passed way on 8/22/14 after being in the Hospital for over a week. She came home on 8/21/14 and the morning of 8/22/14 she passed due to heart failure. She was transferred from your Orlando Health & Rehabilitation facility(had been int he facility for a little over a month as a short term patient due to a stroke) to Orlando Regional on 8/12/14 due to Kidney Failure and Pneumonia. I (her daughter) noticed that she was not well when I visited on 8/12/14 at 7:45am your staff had not noticed. She was in the bed with only a diaper and a t-shirt on. She was completely disoriented and could not talk (completely uncharacteristic of her). In addition on Sunday 8/10/14 I had notified the staff that she wasn’t doing well that she was having difficulty talking and it was brushed off as her having an “episode from the stroke”. On Monday 8/11/14 I visited my mother in the morning and found she was starting to be drowsy and couldn’t stay awake. When I asked the nurse she stated she gave her a mild pain reliever because my mother said she was in pain in Spanish. I returned later in the day around lunch time and found she was knocked out sleeping. I decided to let her sleep and come back later. In the evening she was still sleeping, I tried to wake her up she would open her eyes and fall back asleep. I spoke with the nurse on staff and asked if her medications had changed because since Sunday she had been acting odd. He said they gave her was “vicodin” which in my opinion is NOT a mild pain reliever. Tylenol or Aspirin would have been a mild pain reliever. I asked him to please not give her anymore strong pain relievers and he told me they couldn’t deny the patient a pain reliever. I asked him to call me first if they believed my mom was asking for pain reliever since the nurse in the morning said she had asked for it in Spanish. I wanted to know why and where she was having pain. Apparently it was her kidneys since she was on Tuesday taken to the hospital.
The experience at this location has not been exactly the best. Every time I would come see my mother I had to change her clothes because she had an accident and apparently some of the aids weren’t nice and they made her feel bad and dirty. It seemed you’re very understaffed and although not all of your staff is bad and apathetic the few good ones are extremely overworked.
Needless to say avoid if you can!

I have been a patient at Courtland twice now and highly reccomend it to anyone that needs excellent care. I was transferred from FH-S to the skilled nursing wing and I was immediately hooked back up to all necessary machines. As I am obese, I knew this could be a problem (several declined to take me based on weight, not on the basis of taking care of myself) so was expecting stares and comments. NOT A ONE!! The complete nursing staff accepted me without reservations and I believe they were actually amazed at my mobility. I have been vegetarian my entire life (caused a problem at another facility) and they accomodated my crazy diet including veggies my themselves (nothing mixed). I didn't want physical therapy due to my innate fear of falling, but that department worked within my fears and encouraged me to walk longer distances with my walker. The group physical therapy was exciting and challenging. Spiritual counsel is available, as well as, a therapist that you can talk with. All in all, I felt safe at Courtland and truly miss the companionship -- but being at home is BEST!! Thanks, for the great care!
Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center Orlando, Florida 32825
Maybe this place is good for the verbal, strong, out-spoken patient who is just in for a couple months rehab or whatever - if you can communicate and have most of your sense left, they HAVE to treat you well. For the ones that cannot - this place is a horror story. My family member was a patient for over a year - she experienced a life threatening infection and a life changing injury while a patient here. She was placed back in bed and no one was notified until she was so ill she had to be transported. The nurses are slack (excluding a few who seem to really care) The aides are overworked, underpaid and not always helpful. The equipment used to assist with moving patients who are not mobile is unsafe, old and sometimes broke-down, leaving patients "stranded" I have personally found numerous patients sitting, mid-day, in wheelchairs surrounded by urine puddles where they have just been left to sit the day way in their own waste. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone for anything.

I really can not understand the negative comments about this facility. My experience while I was a patient there, was a very pleasant one. Do not listen to negative Nancy's, this is an excellent facility where you will get excellent care.
Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center Orlando, Florida 32825
WARNING!!! Avoid this facility if at all possible! I had a family member there and within 2 days they had lost his glasses. Within 6 days he was taken to the ER for an infection in his foley due to neglect and lack of attention from the staff. The director of nursing is all smiles and seems to care when you are there, it's a different story after you leave. I have pics of the neglect and plan to take action with the state.
Save your loved one and yourself the stress…chose another facility!
Rio Pinar Health Care Orlando, Florida 32822
I have been there every day after work to make sure I am 'an advocate' for my family member…the PT department seems interested in the care ……and due to the fact that i am constantly at the facility to make sure things are done, it has helped make the transition easier……….the facilities need some TLC…as it does look very 'institutional', the shower facilities need work, there has been a shower head leak for 5 weeks…reported after the 2nd week and still has not been repaired, there has been a light fixture also missing in the shower, and it could also do with a complete scrubbing…..I do have to say the nurses are responsive to any request or concern, but there have been some heated verbal exchanges between the nursing staf that I have overheard, I do think the CNA's could be more proactive in the little things, keeping the rooms more clean, making sure tissue paper is in the bathroom, clean linen, making sure people are eating and if they need help to eat, then to make sure it is easy to do so…like cutting up things and opening cartons, that sort of thing, there are many 'little things' that could bring this facility into more than just average…………I could go on with some other observations, but I think you understand the general theme here, just a litlle work to go beyond just average………………

Facility is clean and well maintained. The decision to bring my dad here was the best decision me and my siblings made. He is happy and comfortable there and very well taken care of!

Amazing staff! They really care about every need and want of the residents… They treat my mom like family. She would not get better care anywhere else!
Life Care Center of Orlando Orlando, Florida 32817
My mother, who suffers from Moderate Alzheimers and Parkinsons, was transferred directly from the Hospital to this institution mostly to have both medical and rehabilitation care due to hyperosmolar coma. Facility: in great shape and very clean Admission: Took 1-2 hours before a nurse could come in a rush. Left us with many questions unanswered and waited for her as per her advise, but never came back. Had to call Marketing Liasion, talk to several people and go to the Nursing Station several times. Nursing: We did not feel safe enough to leave her unattended, since she was obtunded still and had to bring a private attendant to help with feedings and supervision (questioning whether she was really a good candidate for that place or not). She had a fall the second night, due to inappropriate height of bed. Diet: Unable to speak to dietitian, sugar levels poorly controlled. Therapy (Physical, speech, occupational); great Finally: got a call that my mother was restless in the evening and we needed to bring someone to do 1:1 care for her since they were not equipped to take care of those situtations. As a family, we have been there daily. Has not been a good place for her, unfortunately. Wondering, are all nursing homes the same way? This is our first experience.
Parks Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Orlando, Florida 32837
This is the worst nursing facilitie in Central Florida, I would caution anyone from sending your love one to this nursing facility. The staff is very lazy and incompitent, as noted in both Medicare and AHCA reviews they have no individual patient plans and no guideance from Management. Some of the staff is frendly and have good intentions, however there is a severe lack of Management so none of them are properly scheduled for individual task. Parks has a history of being either last or next to last in most reviews there is a valid reason for this.
They were recently purchased by another group and instead of improving they have actually got worse if that is possible!!!!

I have been Resident at Metro West Nursing and Rehab for about 4/5 weeks. And now I am being Discharged home today. My stay here was a joy. It made me appreciate the quality of life which Metro West Nursing Home was able to provide. Everyone was so helpful and caring. I will be return for Outpatient Therpy for PT & OT. Everyone always had a smile on their face. I thank you so much for everything!!!

Hunters Creek Nursing and Rehab Center Orlando, Florida 32837
Stay away! I would personally tell the majority of the staff they are incompetent but, I think they wouldn't understand what I was saying. There is no communication between departments. There is no accounting for medications or equipment being billed to Medicare. The food is cold and not close to edible. A request for pain medication can take up to 3 hours.
The first day my 87 yo fully competent mother arrived after hip surgery, i was witness to an aide telling her she went to the bathroom 2 hours previously and she would have to wait for assistance. The same aide told her in my presence that it would be the last time for the bathroom trip for the night.
KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!
IF THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR NO STARS. I WOULD HAVE CLICKED THAT.

Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center Orlando, Florida 32825
This facility was horrible for my father who iwas there for 7 months. He ended up having his leg amputated due to their negligence. They have very poor medical care and did not always give him his meds. When they did, he would receive 2x the pain meds that he never had to take before.
Palm Garden of Orlando Orlando, Florida 32825
