Review of Sellersburg Healthcare Center

We had no idea of the poor reputation this facility had, until we felt uncomfortable with the care that our father was receiving there, and conducted our own research. He began to fail quickly, we were urgently concerned. On the surface, the facility appears clean, until we witnessed first hand how poorly each room is sanitized. Nutrition is poor. I wanted to cry each time I saw the food that was given to my father, hot dogs were the norm - with no bun. Kindred's resident physician barely spoke English and rarely saw my father, yet alone was familiar with his health history. Further, none of the staff seemed to be familiar with his medications or medical history. Like many others, we sought help in getting our father to a better facility with proper care.
