If you really want the best care for your love one, please do your homework. I am trying really hard to be fair here and I must give a shout out to the floor RN, PT/OT/Speech; they were kind/professional and human, which is the very least of our expectations when my brother stayed there.l
Our issues and expectations that were not met came from the difference in what was told us at the tour to the information in the signing Pak; but we got passed that. What we were unable to get passed was the following and not all inclusive: nurse practionist came in to review all medications, she changed things that in her opinion needed changed;, however, non of that got implements. A CNA was rude and degrading to him until we stepped in and banned her from the room. CNAs yelled up and down the hall day and night. We asked for something to help with his anxiety, that took 5 days. Dietician came in to discuss his swallowing issues. My brother was unable to articulate and asked me to step in (I am also his representative). She yelled, "I have to hear it from him", From Day 2 after admission, RN Medicare came in to announce to a very sick man, "If you are not better in 15 days, we will look at other options for you. This caused much distress.CNAs didn't hesitate to tell you they were understaffed and staffed thru a temp service. In general, with the exceptions I listed above, Christian Care is unequipped and uninterested to handle anything other than the most general nursing duties. We were blessed to move him to another facility within a week.
