Kent Regency saved my dad a trip to the hospital yesterday! My dad has COPD. There aren't specialized rehab centers for people with pulmonary issues, but Kent agreed to take him in while we get his house ready for him to come home.
Nurse Maegan O. listened to my father, who is completely cognizant, and me as we told her it was imperative his prednizone be increased immediately. It was Sunday, and the only doctor was an on-call. Maegan got on the phone right away and explained to the doctor what needed to be done. She wrote the order and ran to his room. COPD patients can have an attack quickly, so time is of the essence.
