  • Higher Call Nursing Center Miami, Oklahoma 74354

My mother has been in Higher Call for 8 years. She loves it there. Everyone has a private room which was very important to her. I visited other nursing homes in the area and checked out 1) cleanliness 2) how friendly was the staff as well as checking online for ratings. I found Higher Call had the highest average rating in the area and now I know why. It doesn't smell and Mom is happy and well taken care of. They have a Chaplain that visits and prays with her. It is a lovely facility and feels like a home and not an institution. It is also quiet. Some that I visited were so loud I wondered how anyone could rest. I'm convinced Higher Call is the best. By a Daughter who cares.

  • Windridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Miami, Oklahoma 74354

Paid cash for service for 2 months because of new medicare laws. Now can't get help with information for taxes. Mom had her second stroke in 3 years, the CNA's told me they preferred for the residents to do things alone even though she could not walk and was very confused. She thought the male CNA was a rapist.

Pathetic! The care is lousy and the accounts receivable department in April-June 2014 is sorry. This facility overmedicated my father. The Hospice nurse intervened on his behalf and got the nurses to correct his medications. However, the damage had already been done and he passed away a short time afterward.

The accounts receivable person, never called nor sent my step-mother or myself any letter or phone call to collect for my father's care. We were repeatedly told (while my Dad was there) that we didn't owe anything. My Dad was only in this facility for about two months. The first 20 days were covered by Skilled Nursing and the nursing facility never sat down to apply for Medicaid for my Dad as they said they would do. It has been a little over four months since my Dad's passing and today I get a call from a collections agency wanting immediate payment--today. News to me!!!!

This facility and its staff needs to be investigated. I am not stopping here. I am going to the state.
