The entrance smells fine, but the rest of the facility smells so bad, you can't stand the smell. We had to take the resident outside who is a family member. We were unable to tolerate the odor coming from the residents room. The time of day was 3pm on a Thursday, so it wasn't for lack of staff or late at night.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am a guardian of a patient I just removed from their because the administrator told me that if I didn't like the way they were treating him I could do a AMA or she would do a FL2. At the time I didn't even know that I could remove him and didn't know what a FL2 was. Three times in one week we visited and the call button wasn't where he could reach it. I and his other family members brought it to the staffs attention and we were reassured it wouldn't happen again. We would call on the way to see how he was doing and were told good… (we were a hour away). by the time we got there he looked terrible. He was always in good spirits considering his accident that left him with a severe traumatic brain injury. within a few days he cried and told his sister he wished he had died. I figured… I would address my concerns and with compassionate staff that it would get better… ( a new environment.. takes time to adjust.) but when the administrator screamed and hollered at me… because of my concern for his well being… I removed him… The best decision I could have done. Now he is in a facility with compassionate care. And I am still working on getting him closer to home. but I would rather my loved one be hours away with compassionate care… than in a facility that lies and doesn't care about their patients. By the time I got their his face had old food under his mustache… his teeth wasn't brushed for a week and of course… the call button was in the wheelchair next to his bed. (he can't even roll over… but thank God… he is cognitive enough to know what is going on and can speak up and let us know when he is NEGLECTED. There are ways to remove your loved one. Don't think there isn't. never go by just a review. Especially a state.. because they will only report state regulated negligeince. It isn't a state law to be uncompassionate and hateful to a family member.. in the presence of the patient. Look around… God WILL provide. I am glad it got this bad… or he would still be there.

This place is disgusting and disturbing. The residents are seldom engaged in anything other than just laying in their bed and wasting away. They are overmedicated and understimulated. One of the doctors is a criminal, the administrator was fired from another place and is unethical, and others there lie and just don't give a crap. I cry many times, as I worry about my loved one. I am desperately trying to get him removed. The facility is so greedy. It's all about money! If you care about your loved one, DO NOT EVER consider this place! I'm hopeful that they will be shut down. God bless all the elderly there and keep them safe.

My mother is currently a resident, and I would rather she was not there. There is no place else that will take her. She has completely gone down hill, which I greatly attribute to the way she was drugged and isolated when she first arrived. They constantly lose her things ( glasses, clothing, blankets). She has been overmedicated most of the time she has been a resident. The food is absolutely horrible! This is so easily correctable! The beds are uncomfortable, linens are threadbare, no mattress pads, lumpy pillows. It seems to me that if your job is to help elders be comfortable and happy in their final days, appealing food and comfortable bedding would be on the top of the list. It is almost impossible to call in to the center after hours to check on your loved one. No one ever answers the phone on the weekends or evenings. Unless you can check on the person, daily, I do not recommend it if you can find another place. The nursing staff and CNA's are extremely nice, and seem to really care! The business office is not helpful nor friendly when dealing with families. The place has made little to no effort to correct the issues I have addressed, but expect for me to "jump" over money if it is off by a few dollars- they are very pushy and call me at my work over the silliest money issues! I feel totally at their mercy. Basically the family has no say so at all in the care of their loved one here. The fact that you probably know your loved one better than they do, does not factor in at all when they make decisions. I WISH it were different!

This place is overall nasty and no one should ever put there family in here. Its got bugs, the staffing is very short so the patients may have to wait to be taken care of, there not good cleaning up the people….they get paid to do nothing because thats all they do. The beds arent made as often as they should be and the way the people are treated is rude. Plus the housekeeping has a tendency to skip your room day after day to where you have to complain to get it cleaned so overall this building should be closed! Im giving it a one star which is doesnt even deserve that!
