  • Pruitthealth-Neuse New Bern, North Carolina 28560

My husband was a recently a patient at Pruitt Neuse NH. The staff were friendly and helpful; however, the time frame between requesting aid of any kind could be hours. Help with patient hygiene and bed changes were practically non existent. Wound care nurse (for wound care 3 times a week) was not done per proper protocol with improper coverage of wound and care. I personally believe the facility is understaffed significantly. Also, the food was horrible. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

  • Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center New Bern, North Carolina 28563

Allowed extreme amounts of mold to grown in my parent's room, on the light-switch pull cord, around the window-mounted AC unit, in every corner and on the walls of the bathroom and behind pictures in the main room. They claimed the flat-screen TV "accidentally fell off of the stand" but could not produce the broken TV when challenged on the issue. They obviously stole the TV. This was not reported to the family until family visited the patient and discovered there was no TV on the stand any longer. Pants have been stolen/gone missing. Patient's fingernails grew to over 1 inch in length, and no trimming was done until family saw how long the fingernails were. Feet and toenails remained un-trimmed and cared for properly.

They broke the patient's glasses with no explanation of how it happened, then locked the glasses over the weekend in the social worker's office, so the patient went 4 days without being able to see. They did not notify any member of the family. They "lost" the patient's wheelchair. Family members searched and found the wheelchair out behind the facility where it had been apparently for 4 weeks. One of the patient's jackets was found draped on the back of a nurse's chair in the front lobby with no explanation of how it got there. Tried to give the family members out-of-date canned liquid food from their stock to feed the patient. When it was pointed out that the entire stock room had out-of-date, confronted individual shrugged and provided no solution of how to rectify that or that it would not occur again.
