I got the opportunity to have my clinical rotations at this facility. The residents are so wonderful, and it is unfortunate that they do not get the care and attention they deserve. The residents look forward to us students going there because we actually take the time to give them the care that they should be receiving on a daily basis. Residents were left sitting in soiled briefs for hours and it did not phase the staff. Also, when residents would ask to be put on the toilet the staff would tell them to just go in their brief. Transfers of the residents were done with out proper equipment. Meals were rushed, and food was awful. The shower rooms were terrible and filthy. These residents are not dead, give them some dignity for crying out loud! I enjoyed pampering the residents and spending time with them while i was there. I am sad to leave because I know they will not get that again until another round of students comes through…
