Langdon Place of Keene Keene, New Hampshire 03431
This facility does not offer long-term care. I was asked to find another nursing home for my 84-year-old father when he started to need more personal care than the Alzheimer's was willing to provide. Be aware of this before you place your parents here - it came as a rather rude shock to have to move him after he had been in their care for almost five years.

I am the legal guardian for my uncle and when he could no longer live in the community and needed a nursing home enviroment, Greenbrier was my first choice and so happy he is there. The facility is clean and inviting. The staff have always treated him and my family with respect. It is comforting to me to know that he is well taken care of and I don't have to worry about him. I am always well informed of all his care. The residents are kept busy with activities that are so enjoyable. Thank you for the great care you give my uncle.
Rochester Manor Rochester, New Hampshire 03867
I didn't feel all that welcome the day I went to visit. I was left with the feeling they just wanted me to go away…..
Otherwise, I had a good impression fo the facility. Clean. Liked the daytime staff that I saw. Can't comment about evening or weekend staffing as I wasn't there.
Communication is very important to our family and everyone I met spoke clearly and was easy to understand. We've had past experiences where staff were not native English speakers and miscommunication occurred that resulted in medication mixups, as well as time and date snafus. (Would schedule an appointment for a certain day and time, arrive at nursing home to find that I was there completely on the wrong day. This is not good.
Manor is stone's throw from the hospital which is so helpful in the event an emergency occurs. Frisbie is a really nice hospital, people are treated well and with courtesy and dignity, and of course, quality of care.

After almost a month my 83 year old father returned home after his first knee replacement. His rehab was quite successful in reducing the pain he had been living with for the past 15 years. His balance is much improved and there is less risk of falling. The nursing staff and medical practitioners were attentive and supportive throughout his stay. He was able to choose food items that he liked and staff always had a hot cup a coffee when requested. The Case Manager assisted in a successful transition home. She worked with the home care agency to set up services to continue his rehab program at home. He is home and looking forward to getting back on the golf course.
Hanover Terrace Health & Rehabilitation Center Hanover, New Hampshire 03755
My mother was a resident at Hanover Terrace for over eight years, suffering from Alzheimer's disease. We were very happy with how she was treated by the staff and would strongly recommend HT.

Pleasant Valley Nursing Center Derry, New Hampshire 03038
The Re-hab side of the nursing home is good I might give it 3 - 4 stars however the long term care is grossly understaffed and really need at least double the staff it currently has. the staff they do have are very nice but overwhelmed. My father was in there for 2 months and went from being totally mobil to wheelchair bound due to lack of them makeing sure he walked everyday. It seemed like they were trying to keep residents wheelchair bound to make care easier. He also was not allowed to toilet by himself so he ended up in adult diapers. Both of these issues have made him very unsteady on his feet and not able to now toilet with out assistance. I would keep looking for somthing better with a larger staff.

Pleasant Valley Nursing Center Derry, New Hampshire 03038
It is unfortunate that the residents at Pleasant Valley do not receive the care they deserve at this stage of their lives. It is very out dated and they lack a lot of the new technology that I've seen at other facilities in the area. It is not clean and almost all the patients sit in a wheel chair most of the day. Explore other facilities in the area, even if they have a waiting list, it is worth the wait.

If your Mom or Dad has dementia this is not the place for them. Lack of staff would be my first complaint, the nurses are overworked. It's a shame. Couldn't wait to get my loved one out of there and into a more suitable place that can handle dementia.

I was treated very well, also think the therapy group were excellent. They were a great group of dedicated therapists. I really enjoyed my session and made some very good friends. The nurses were dedicated and caring, the aids were caring and helpful, they went out of their way to be there for you.

Colonial Poplin Nursing Home Fremont, New Hampshire 03044
Colonial Poplin is wonderful. My grandmother received wonderful care here. The staff take very good care of the residents, and the place feels like home. I never felt rushed when I visited. They have a cafe so you can eat with a resident there. There was no "nursing home" smell here either. It would be nice if more nursing homes were like Colonial Poplin. She enjoyed hearing the children playing at the school next door. She had fun at the activities. She enjoyed church, too.
