• I have had the misfortune of placing my mother into New Iberia Manor, 600 Bayard St, New Iberia, LA and I can tell you now that I would never in my life time recommend this facility to anyone that cared anything for their love one. The facility is just a money-making, non-caring, pit from hell. The facility takes too many patients and is unable to provide specialized care for patients that require it. They dropped my mother at least 3 times while in their care and they kept her in bed without properly turning her (because she was bed-bound after being in their facility for only 6 months) as mandated by the state. My mother walked into their facility, and within 6 months she was bed-bound and developed serious bedsores. She was often kept dirty even after several discussions with the state and administration personnel. All of these issues and many others were documented and brought to the attention of nurses, CNA's and the administration staff (as well I kept of record of when I spoke with the administration offices personnel), without any real resolution. My mother's health depleted so quickly while in their care. If I had to do it again, I would never send her there or ever recommend that money-making place to anyone that cares for the upkeep of their love ones. Sarah Fuselier
