Review of Orchards of Cascadia, The

5 Star User Review

I am a home care medical provider who has been working in home care/ visiting medicine for 10 years in the State of Maine.

In my role, I have visited with patients in many different types of nursing care, skilled care and res care facilities.

When you do this work for a while, you learn about what differentiates a "GOOD" facility from a "BAD" facility.

Today, I travelled from Maine to Idaho to visit my elderly Uncle who is a resident at the Kindred /Nampa facility.

After spending the day with him, seeing his room, meeting the staff and observing how they interacted with my Uncle and with one another, I am delighted to rate Kindred/ Nampa a FIVE STAR rating!

The place is spotless. There are no offensive "odors" in the corridors or in my Uncle's room. He was clean, comfortable and cheerful. He has no worries or concerns about his safety and he reports that the staff is very responsive to his every need.

The staff - from the highest to the lower levels of skilled care - was excellent.

One can tell a lot about a nursing care facility by, not only the way staff treat and interact with the patient, but the way they treat and interact with one another as well. This is a Grade A level team. Top notch.

I am thrilled to know that my dear Uncle is in such good hands. This is the kind of facility in which I would like to one day be cared for by such skilled and gentle clinicians.
