My mother is there for short term rehabilitation after her stroke. At first she and I were very pleased with the services and activities that they have to offer but as the week progressed I found my mom very tired and more "sedated". Even she admits that she feels like she is in a fog and not herself. Makes me think that they may be sedating patients so they don't have to deal with them. Also my mother prefers to use her walker but they insist that she be wheeled around and they normally take their time when she pushes the call button. A lot of the times I see the nurses and assistance just talking around the front office or hurdled near the computers they have in the hallways talking story.

I agree with the precious review. I was totally shocked tonight. My Friend's mother just passed away tonight and spent the past 2 days in what was probably the worst last 2 days of her life!! The staff do not appear to know what they are doing!! She was in extreme pain, but was given Tylenol instead of her prescribed pain medicine; because they didn't know they had it. There we patients sleeping on mattresses on the floor just so that they could be in an air conditioned room. There were patients sleeping in the hallways probably for the same reason. I can go on and on about this place, but need to stop here. Check any other facility before you consider this place.

Overated and very transparent. I feel sorry for new families and their loved ones entering your skilled nursing floor. They don't realize that you are medicare sharks. And you have no "Care" just hunger for the $$$$$. Auwe.

Please don't take your parents to this home. They are considered one of the worst & threw out an elderly woman, Florence Ko in 2007 in her nightgown because her useless daughter wouldn't pay the bills (while holding onto her $1M property on Portlock Rd). She is despised by the Portlock residents & we are saddened that this lady died alone & lonely & confused while her "suffering" neurosurgeon daughter kept the land & withdrew the money needed to care for her.

One of the best re-hab facilities you will find in Hawaii. The staff from the Director down to the nurses aids are so polite and go out of their way to help. The staff doctors and nurses are so professional and can answer most questions you have. I was there for therapy after having a hip replacement and highly recommend this facility to anyone
