The staff is amazing. Very loyal. Very caring towards patients. I was impressed with the environment. It was cheerful. Big place. Staff was very nice in direction. It didn't smell at all like other nursing homes. The building is clean.

I admitted my mother to this facility August 6, 2015. On the 15th they had to file an Incident Report when we found a “grab and yank” handprint on her upper left arm. On the 19th they had to file another report when we found her left leg bruised from the knee to the ankle – no one was watching and the steel on her wheelchair was bruising her every time her leg rubbed against it. We installed a motion sensor video/audio camera in her room for her protection. September 13th the video shows an aide talking in front of mom to another aide “I been praying that they get this one out of here quick” mom responding “For what? Get who out? ME?” January 15th 2016, the video shows two aides dropping mom onto the bed from about 8” off the bed – she has spinal degeneration, it was deemed an “accident”, even though they were laughing the whole time. On February 12th, 2016 the same two aides hit her head against the wall as they get her into bed … another “accident”? March 19th, 2017she was left out of the room from 5:46am until my cousin brought her back into the room at 2:00pm (over 8 hours sitting in her wheelchair without being toileted). She was so weak the aide couldn’t manage her in the restroom and her hand was caught in the guard rail, tearing off the skin on her hand. March 21st, 2016 I received a call saying they had found small blisters on her thighs, like a coffee burn. When I photographed them the next day they covered both sides from her knees down to her middle calves. (a burn expert later said they were 2nd degree and turned 3rd degree by the 3rd day). On March 25th, 2016 hospice was called in and said she was in the active stages of dying. On March 27th, 2016 we found a 3” bedsore on her tailbone. On March 31st, 2016 my mother passed away. Every statement is backed up by video and photographs.

Very competent and caring staff. My mother was placed here after a sudden illness which required surgery. We admitted her to the therapy unit for physical and occupational therapy and to get stronger in order to return to her home. She stayed approximately 4 weeks and was cared for extremely well. She loved the food, the facility was clean and had no odors, her room was comfortable and quiet. We would certainly recommend this facility to anyone in need!

To me as someone who lives in this nursing home, I love it. I have been here just over two years now. And while I wish I didn't need this place I am so glad it is here. It has liitterly saved my life. I would recommend it to anyone.

What a disappointment! My father moved to Epworth Villa independent living about three years ago. I was very supportive of the move, it seemed like a good choice and a top notch facility. What a joke! After his move they started a huge addition with mean that a) interior access was cut off from fitness facilities; b) food was served on paper plates with an very limited menu. My father dealt with this for six months (the addition took longer than planned). When he passed away in May 2015, nothing had changed, Epworth was still not delivering on their promises, and the whole atmosphere of the place was negative and toxic. If your loved one is considering Epworth, don't!

The care that my family received while at South Park East was great. The staff is wonderful, caring and very professional. My husband, father and I grew to love the staff like family. Our mom/ his wife received excellent care during her stay with SPE. I am so blessed to have found this facility and they bless her and us also.

My Mom was here for less than a month before she died. She was in the last stages of cancer. There was lots of management and staff running around during the day, Less people sometimes hiding out using cellphones at night and weekends. The care seemed more focused on being effiecient to the detrement of individual patient care. A people warehouse. Staff and our Hospice Care didn't get along and staff suggested we should change to their affilliated Hospice.

Mom labeled the staff as "cold". Once she waited 2 1/4 hours for an authorized as needed pain medication. She developed a bed sore after 21 days here. They had been reported as having minor problems with "Assist those residents who need help with eating/drinking, grooming and personal and oral hygiene". We experienced those problems still.

I expected more from a full-care nursing home.

Our very elderly mother was a patient at Parcway for several weeks for rehab following surgery. Overall, we were pleased with the care she received. We felt the rehab staff was excellent. They worked as a team and were caring and professional. We also felt that the majority of the nursing staff was caring and very professional and responded to her needs.

We did encounter a few communications problems between the staff and ourselves related to doctors appointments and things we should have been informed of.

Overall, the facility is clean and attractive. Her room was spacious and comfortable. If we need to use a rehab facility or are asked for our opinion about Parcway, we would not hesitate to recommend them.

My family member has been here about 5-6 months. There is probably no perfect nursing home facility anywhere. However, I think there are many changes that could easily be made-

1. Hire more care givers. There are not enough people to help with feeding and changing of patients.

2 Have in place ways to help patients who are sight and hearing impared.If they are blind for instance, put their plate guard in front of them not off to the side or at the top where it does no good. Have adaquate bibs. You should know how may patients you have and purchase more if you need them Many days no bibs on patients who need them desperately to avoid changing clothes over and over.

3. The people in charege never get out of their office to see what is going on. They should at least walk around and act like they care. You can't possibly know what needs to be done if you don't interact with patients.

4.There are countless things that should be addressed such as never enough coffee cups etc, hiding dirty clothes, not bringing water jugs back in timely manner( which means patients are without watter all night! Not acceptable!

My father is currently at Parcway (chosen for location-it's easy for my mother to visit him there) for recovery from knee replacement surgery. My mother was a patient there recently, and her stay was overall, a good one. My father, on the other hand, has had a pretty rough time. It seems there have been slow/no response complaints when he has paged for assistance, his pain medication has not been dispensed in a timely manner, and worst of all, he and my mother have encountered roaches in his room! We have spoken to all in power regarding these situations, and I'll follow up with how well Parway responds to, and corrects these problems.

Impressive at first, as many can be…to allure you into the assurance they are highly trained professionals with an interest in your situation and high hopes to resolve it. However, just as many facilities, inadequate training does exist here in patient care. Many issues are put on hold while priority is given to staffs personal issues at hand before attending to the needs of the patient.. so it has always been. Nice on one day, change of heart on the next day. Repetition seems to become a dreaded act, to many of staff. However, as in some cases, you will find that diamond in the rough staff member, that you know in the end, will become a quality care giver, never wavering into the pool of stagnation…

My mother has been at MeadowLakes for 4 years and I find the staff to be very efficient in her day by day care. The food is good with optional meals. The cleanliness of the facilities is great. There are many options for recreation and activities for the residents from bingo to cooking classes and outings to entertainment. I enjoy visiting my mother in such a great atmosphere.

My Mother was in Tuscany off and on for approximately 6 months. The staff was excellent - they took great and patient care of Mother. One of the assistants even began regularly painting Mother's nails as soon as she realized she loved having her nails painted.

This was a very difficult time in Mother's life as she was in great pain, could not longer talk and was seldom cognicent. I was pleased with my decision to move here to Tuscany and would recommend this care center to anyone.

My mom was neglected while here. She was not kept clean. She was not given a shower unless we requested it. She fell and no one came all night to check on her. She ended up sleeping on the floor all night because she was too weak to climb in bed on her own. She was mistreated. The day we took her out she had a huge bruise that was not there the day before. None of the staff was able to explain the bruise. She also said her back was hurting and it had not been hurting before. We had to take her from here to the er. She died the day we took her out.

It isn't until you have a loved one using a service that you look closely at the quality. At the times I have been present in the assisted center in Altus, the staff has appeared pleasant and attentive. My parent loves the food and has ample room in the apartment. The one noticeable shortcoming is the attention to detail in cleanliness. The furniture in the parlor is tired and there is not enough seating for all the residents that would like to sit and visit.

I have requested many time for housekeeping to clean the carpet where the milk was spilled in the patient room. I am only a friend to the patient and visited her about once a week. But each time i visited, the mess is still there. Overtime, I am afraid that spot is being infested with more bacteria.
