This is a beautiful place and the care is ok, but the administration is pathetic. We have had numerous problems with overbilling, medication shortages, unreturned phone calls for days, etc. I feel sorry for those who don't have a family member to be an advocate for them and the "squeaky wheel" which I have had to do. Unfortunately, we had only one day to find a place for my 93-year-old dad, leaving from the VA hospital, and they had a room available. More research was needed to make a wiser choice. Just remember that appearances can be deceiving.

Weekends are terrible. Not enough worker on weekends. Your relative would stay in bed all day long, even if you request for them to get up.

This is a very nasty nursing home!!!!!! I wouldn't let my dog eat off their floor!!!!! My friend told me she recently had gotten scabies!!! She has never had that before when she worked with elderly people. The thing was people that work there either had it and they know who has it but they don't want to get in trouble with DHEC! They need to be shut down b/c they don't care about their CNAs only keeping their pockets fat!!

Nurses could not answer important questions as to when the last medication was administered to my Mother. They lied to me about having the medications available that evening at 7 pm, and then told me the same thing the next day that medications would not be delivered to them and available until 7pm the next day. All they had to do was manage pain and do simple physical rehab. The rehab folks came to the room to assess, and seemed sincere, but the nursing and doctoral staff had ignored a fall onto the ground by me Mother and she was in too much pain, having received no medications for pain. I had to demand an xray and finally removed my mother because she was having bloody bowel movements which were also being ignored.
This place looks great on the brochure and in the presentation tour. But it is set up for nothing but taking medicare and medicaid monies from those who have no alternative. I would not give it one star. It should be shut down.

Family member was there 72 hours. Couldn't get the plugged toilet fixed. Couldn't get the porta-pot emptied. Nursing staff didnt seem to care. Could not get meds administered timely. Family member had to wet the bed and lay in it two nights in a row then had a serious fall trying to go to bathroom alone at night due to staff ignoring call for assistance. Staff mis handled the fall and refused to call 9-1-1 or a doctor as the patient demanded. Staff ignored significant bleeding from bowell then flushed evidence immediately after being told not to. I had to have an ambulance come take her out of there.
The place is a total disgrace to health care. I wouldn't board a dog that I didn't like there even if it does smell like a kennel.

The facility needs some upgrading in the area of painting, floors, and number of attendants per patient. The employees seem to really care about the patients and are atrying to do a good job within the means they are provided. Some flowers or scents in the main lobby would help with first impressions. Smells like a nursing home.

If you must put your family member in this facility do so only if you can check on them everyday at least twice a day. There is a big problem with staff changing residents who have soiled undergarments. If you visit your family member use a sharpie and mark their depends(preferably in the morning). Whenever you return for a afternoon visit you'll be surprise to know that the depends that you marked at 9am are still on your loved one at 6pm
