This facility was not disposing of the patients used Duragesic (pain, fentanyl) patches correctly. They were throwing them in the garbage in patients rooms. It's a very dangerous medication. 100 times more powerful than morphine. More than 50% of the medication can be left on the patch after use. Get a copy of the State of Wisconsin - Division of Quality Assurance report from Feb 2012. Not only were they not disposing of them correctly, they were not giving them to the patients as prescribed. Not changing them on time..not following doctors orders..not checking them as they should (every 8 hours) Very unsafe facility. Don't send your loved ones there.
