My mother required rehab services after being discharged from the hospital, and was sent to the Milw. Catholic Home's rehab unit. On both occasions, it could not have been a worse experience. There was a huge lack of compassion and empathy by the staff, particularly nurse Deb in their 2nd floor rehab unit, a lazy and poor attitude among aides, and overall substandard care & knowledge of patient needs on display by most of the staff we encountered. Since sharing my bad experiences there, I've heard horror stories from others regarding the exact same thing happening to their family members at Cath. Home Rehab. but they did not speak up due to their fear of retaliation. Both the CEO and the rehab administrator did nothing to acknowledge the situation.
