Review of Allis Care Center

2 Star User Review

My mother had to stay in this Nursing Home for a year. The First time I went there to visit my Mother, I knew right away that I Wished she was Not there. Out of All the Aides I met, say about 5 or 6 of them during the stay there for my mother, I'd say there were at least 2 or 3 that seemed to Care, and cater to my Mother's Needs. The rest of the Aides I am surprised about actually have Jobs there! The Most thing that Bothered me was the Length of Time of Call Buttons from residents pushing for help, went Unanswered for Long Periods of time by Staff. There were several times I went there to visit and heard the chimes from call buttons going off in excess of an Hour or Longer, unanswered. the Entire place to me was Substandard for Any person to live there. each time I left there after a visit, I was always Depressed because of my mother's health. Not to mention More Depressed because she was there in that Place! When the Chimes would go off for help, I'd usually see Aides standing in halls NOT doing anything! This Really irritated Me More! And sometimes from a distance I'd see them Just Standing doing Nothing and Most Likely Too Lazy to come for help to residents. That was my Overall Impression All the the time, of this place. The Only reason Why I gave this a 2 star rating is because there were a (Few) aides that seemed to enjoy the work, and actually showed they cared. Other than that I have Nothing else to report that was any Good from this place. MY Mother Died this past week in this home, and there are Unanswered Questions if her Help at the time of Death was answered to. My Family and Myself Really did NOT get a Concrete Answer from Staff about What made her die. We basically received General Answers as to her death. But in my Family's hearts, I guess we will never know the Exact cause of death other than Old Age/Natural Causes. We did not have an Autopsy performed because of Cost. Bottom Line….Avoid this Place. Take the TIME to look around, and search out a better Place for your Loved Ones, Please!
