My Uncle was in Santa Fe Rehab for about 2.5 years…. I would have to say that this is probably the worst nursing home I have seen. The staff is rude and not at all helpful,the condition of the home is dirty and smelled of human wastes, and not kept up even though they are trying to remodel. The nutrition is not good and dietary needs were not met for my Uncle and was not helping his health. The physical therapy is not good they don't seem to work with the residents and after they are discharged they don't encourage any physical activity, just lay in bed and eat. I am not happy with the way that things went at this Facility. After constantly having to report issues to the and saw things were being corrected but shortly going back to the way they were before I reported them. I later found out after I moved my Uncle that several years back Santa Fe Rehab was shut down by the state of Texas for the way in which it was kept. I wish I had known all of the details on Santa Fe before putting my Uncle there. WORD OF CAUTION DON'T PUT YOUR LOVED ONE AT SANTA FE REHAB CENTER……
