Review of Victoria Residence and Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

This is a poorly run deceptive facility that boasts numerous claims in brochure that aren't true. Aside from my parents having numerous falls in a 5 month period, clothing, shoes and personal items constantly missing (listed on inventory sheet, labeled & photos taken) & no one seemed to care, the attitude of nearly all employees was negative/rude. Also, despite my Mother being a fall risk, she was allowed to roam the halls alone, in socks. At least 3 pair of her (new) shoes were taken and no assistance was provided to locate them or missing clothing. Both pair of my Father's prescription glasses went missing & were never found. The 5 months they were there, i never met the dr despite repeated requests and calls to speak with him. Most of the staff acted rude and/or indifferent & seemed perturbed by my presence since i was there regularly and would have to ask several times to get something done for my parents. I even made up their beds more than once and found them lying on a bare mattress with linens there on bed. I stocked their mini fridge with snacks & drinks-all of which disappeared. My father had a large area on his forearm that was red & irritated. No one even addressed the issue or provided any ointment when it was obvious it was painful. I brought some first aid ointment and nurse allowed me to apply it to my Father's arm. He was so grateful because it was painful. Also, since no dr appt was made for this i demanded one be made. The day of the appt he was taken to office, but since i was not able to be there, they turned around & left! I rescheduled and ultimately found out it was skin cancer. There are too MANY other issues/complaints & concerns to list here, but suffice to say I would never allow a loved one to be placed in their (questionable) "care."
