My father suffered a TBI from a fall in a hospital Jan 2013. Since then he has been in and out of Skilled nursing homes, hospitals, rehab, etc. This place is THE BEST by far. The staff seem like the actually care about the residents and their jobs. We have been to other places where they seem nice, but their care was lacking severely! I only wish we would have found this place a long time ago and my dad may not have deteriorated as much as he has. The last nursing home would wait until his pneumonia was bad and just send him to the hospital, where therapy stopped and caused him to regress. In addition some of the other places he would only be there a week or two and get sick and go back to the hospital, then spend several weeks in the hospital, go back to the nursing home and a week or two later he was back in the hospital. Sugarland Healthcare Center treats him on site, so no more hospital trips and lack of therapy! They care about the residents dignity and their well being. If you have to trust a place with your loved one, this would be a good one. We have been very pleased with his level of care. Can't say much about the administration, but I found this place to be clean and although it's older, my father is being well cared for, which means I could care less about the decor. His health is our #1 priority and they are doing an excellent job managing that. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!!! And no nursing home/skilled nursing will be perfect, but after some we have been in this is the best by far!

This is the most old and smelling dirty place you can plaxe your love one. The facility has changed management and it is down hill. They claim to be the best in care but the DON seem to be clueless. The decor is very dis tasteful. The Administrator is the most non caring and is not people friendly at all. The director of admissions joke to no avail and nothing is taken serious. I took my love one out of this dumpter as soon as I could. They really need to bring back the old team. Very poor care and bathrooms are simply bad smelling. Not a clean place the food looks like pig waste. Dont waste your time in the hell hole.

The facility may be adequate. However, before a patient can reside at the facility, one must meet with the director of admissions. The director of admissions at this facility is rude and obnoxious and assumes that one will place their loved one in this facility without any information about the facility. The director of admissions refuses to answer many of your questions about entering the facility. In my case, since my questions went unanswered, I am thankful to God that my loved one passed away before she would have to enter this facility!

My father broke his hip and needed a Skilled Nursing facility. I checked with Medicar.gov. for area nursing facilities within a 50 mile radius of my home. This narrowed my search with led me to one in Katy and Sugar land Health Care Ctnr. I choose them because I observed many staff members assisting residents during lunch on the weekend. The 2nd weekend I observed the Administrator doing the job of nursing assistants and others in plain clothes and not identified as the Administrator. Where have you seen this?!!. If my Dad needed aditionalk care and I needed a place for him they are top on my list. He went back to a personal home care facility today 04/17/11, But if he had not had one I was satisfied this would be where he would stay! This is the 3rd time I haver had to locate a facility for a family member and the first time I felt complelled to state they are great! N. Matheny Rosenberg, Tx.
