The residents need a safe place to sit outside and not be able to get out into the street. The front porch is o.k. however it is so easy for a resident to roll their wheelchair down the ramp and into the parking lot or out of the area completely. There is no monitor in this area, nurses are busy inside caring for residents and tend to forget about those outside. There needs to be a fenced in area where residents can get outside the facility but still be safe and secure. The back porch is primarily used for smokers so the smell prohibits non smoking residents the luxury of sitting on the back patio for a different view.
