My father was there once. They refused him the 2nd time because they say 1) the paperwork wasn't completed (all papers except financial responsibility was signed by me; that one was signed by my dad), 2) he was non-compliant (he refused to wear his neck brace 100% of the time and they'd ACCEPTED him with him wearing it during exercises, so he complied), 3) he was there before (no - my dad was there only once; they were confused thinking of my husband and my dad.)
Then they said that they are not prepared for someone at risk of falling (EXCUSE ME - where do you put an at risk of falling person, but in a resthome.) They just do not want anyone there who has a family member who will speak up about improper room conditions or care. And I would! You should too!
