My Father stayed there until he died. He was there for three years. The staff was wonderful, helping me find the benefits he was qyualified for and they were his friends. They transported him to dialysis three times a week and had other outside activities planned the whole week through,like going to the movies, or casino. And they had a shooting range. The nurses helped me deal with his impending death and I felt like I was being treated like family there. This was a great place for my Dad, they took care of him when he needed it. I tried but I'm not a professional and made lots of mistakes. At the veterans home, they were professional and kind at the same time.
