My loved one was treated horrible in this place he lost at least pounds in 3 weeks and he was only in there a month and couple of weeks. He was bedridden and no one cared enough to monitor his liquid and food intake . He got severely sick and they called the ambulance at the last minute. I absolutely hate this place for what they did . Please think twice before you put your loved one in here.

I was a patient there for about three weeks in 2012 for rehab. The Nursing staff is really good, the facility is clean, I was well cared for, and the rehab staff and facilities are very good. The only problem with it (other than having to be there to start with) is the food. It is pretty bad. Sometimes undercooked. Sometimes overcooked. Of course, all reviews of medical facilities by patients or even families are suspect. The patient is obviously not at their best or would not be there, and the family is going to be upset pretty much always. Check it out for yourself if you are in need of a facility for yourself or a loved one. This is THE ONLY ONE that I would recommend to anyone. Anywhere.

It's a beautiful place, but look beyond this and a person will see how their family member is treated.I lost my family member their. Grant you he was very ill but to wait at least an hour to be changed or to be fed cold food is cruel, needles to say, they used a syringe that fell on the floor, to clean the tube and drain it . He couldn't defend himself so they worked him in at their time. I could understand why he was ready to go home to the Lord A last statement, he had labored breathing for three days before he died. He was not checked those three days. Please know the nurses can only do so much, so why doesn't the big wheels give more help that these residents need as well as these aides,Familes check this place out first before putting your loved one their. signed lonesome.

If I was looking for a NH to put my loved one in I would seriously think about it before I took him or her to Beacon Hill. If you have a complaint or concern you might as well keep it to yourself because they will not do anything about it or care. The turnover for the staff, especially the nurse’s aides is very high. The aides are extremely over worked and underappreciated. If you find one you think is good and you like you can bet that person will be gone in a few weeks, if they last that long. Just because the place looks good does not mean they will provide better care. Another word of advice check out the menus (at least two week’s worth) and go down to the dining room either at lunch or dinner time and you will see the food choices are probably not going to be what your loved one will want to eat.

This review has many inaccuracy, this place has all most 100 residents and is very under staffed. I have gone in to see my family member only to find 2 or 3 aids and staff there as well as more then 3 light buzzing asking for help. I have had to personally help other elderly people living there with eating at lunch and making it back to there rooms, wile not seeing a single staff member. The food they served my mother was flavorless and she dose not like to eat it. I frequently take off work to check on her and she will have been skipped over at lunch time. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I don't know if they run out of food or if they just don't bring it to her she has lost more then 15 lbs since i had to move her to Beacon Hill in Denison Tx. I am moving her out of this place DO NOT put your family in this place.

  • The Terrace at Denison Denison, Texas 75020

I love the "homey" type feel u get as u walk through the door.

If your loved one is a pet lover, this is the place to be. The facility has cats, dogs, birds & fish, just as a person would in their home. The home is kept neat & clean & doesn't have that "Nursing Home" odor. My grandma smokes like a freight & knowing that the facility offers scheduled, staff supervised smoke breaks puts me at ease. The staff are friendly & I truly love feeling like part of their big family when I visit.

  • Denison Nursing and Rehabilitation Lp Denison, Texas 75021

The staff (Nurse and Physician and PA) caring for patients were under legal serious disciplinary concerns. Not revealed to patient or family members. Proper diet was not provided to diabetic patients and this was a misleading factor when discussing with family members deciding to place patient in facility. Bed, wheelchair, bedside toilet was less than useable..dirty and old. Toilet was adjoining and shared by an opposite sex patients room with no locking door to secure privacy. It was dirty. Not some place you want to place your pet much less your loved one.

My grandmother is a current resident of Beacon Hill and could not be happier. The rehab team is superb. She absolutely loves all of the staff. She can't stop talking about her time there. She loves to share stories about her time in the beauty shop, church services, activities, and therapy. The food is amazing. The whole team at Beacon Hill makes her feel so special. This is a great place!

My 70 year old mother had to have extensive back surgery. Her insurance company told us this was the only place my mother could go. (The new place was very nice and beautiful.) Often my mother was forgotten about when it come to bringing her food. When she did finally get her tray, her food was cold and soggy. The first morning she was there it was after 10:00 before she got her breakfast.

For some reason they couldn't get her pains meds straight. The dr's orders were to take 1 or 2 pain pills every 4 hours as needed for pain. Then all of the sudden she "ran" out? After many calls to the dr and talking to nurses, it NEVER got straightened out. Her meds were never at the right times. She would call to get help to go to the bathroom and it would take them an hour or so to come help her. To say the least after a few days of this, I took her to my house and cared for her there. Now, the reason she was there was because Beacon Hill and the hospital told us that was the only place that would take her insurance? And she wouldn't have to pay anything. We got a $780 bill in the mail today. (what the heck?) I called and tried to talk to some one about it. No return phone call as of yet. SO just be aware, no matter how pretty the place, it doesn't mean they have quailty care! I wouldn't let my dog go that place!
