My family member was at Matlock Place for short term rehab. First, I would like to say the rehab department is very wonderful. My family member was very weak upon entering the facility. They left at about 85% for caring for themself.
If you are looking for a caring Nursing facility for your loved one continue looking. I read the previous review, they have solved the problem with the call lights. They come into the room turn the light off ask what does the patient need and say "I will be back" and return about 45 minutes later or never return. The patient has to turn the light back on or don't worry about the problem. When my family member was in the bed and nursing staff was to turn them every 2 to 4 hours. NEVER HAPPENED. They lay them in the bed and move on to whatever else they are doing and of course my family member received bed sores. I brought it to the administration attention and following my next visit the staff clearly displayed negative attitude toward me.
I never been happier for my family member to leave Matlock Place.
