  • The Belmont at Twin Creeks Allen, Texas 75013

I would give this facility a terrible recommendation. The facility is new and clean - that's all it has going for it. The level of care is terrible. My aunt was admitted for rehab at 6:00 p.m. out of the hospital, and fell at 9:00 p.m. She begged them to take her to the hospital as she was bleeding from her head and was on blood thinners. They would not call an ambulance. It took them 3 hours before calling an ambulance - after midnight! If you could have seen her face, you would wonder why she wasn't immediately taken to the hospital. They had no idea how to get her picked up from the floor. She rang the bell from the bathroom and it took them some time to get there. Their first question to her was are you hurt?! (Duh!) Their second question was can you get up?! NOT assisting her, just asking the idiotic questions. The food was terrible and not much of it. I would NOT recommend anyone going to this facility. Clean and new is one thing, but you are hoping your loved one is getting care and being looked after. NOT a good experience. We took her home from the hospital and immediately had her placed elsewhere the next day.

My 83 year old Mother has been a long term resident of the Belmont for almost 2 years. I love the care she receives from the nurses, the certified nurses aides and doctors. The facility is very clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this facility for skilled, twenty four hour care for a love one.

Nice building awful place. My mother was there for three weeks and we had take her to the hospital with pneumonia, UTI and difficulty swallowing. Three weeks later she died of pneumonia. She was force feed even though she couldn't swallow. We asked for a doctor call to evaluate her and we wouldn't get one. The male orderlies would undress her talking to each other in there own language. I suspect they were Jamaican as3/4's of the staff in nursing homes are. stay away from this place.

Very clean and beautiful facility, but one of the most incompetent staff you will ever find. If you really care about your elderly parents, DO NOT take them there. My mother was a resident at Belmont for 10 days following hip surgery. Physical therapy was a joke. General observations from my daily visits are that patients are treated with disrespect as if they were all suffering from dementia. It was very sad to see so many patients pleading for assistance. Dignity is not a word understood at Belmont. The staff nurses appeared caring at first, but it wasn't long before things started going wrong. To make a long story short, one of the nurses outright lied to me regarding my mothers care and medications. The staff also failed to immediately call an ambulance when my mother fainted and lost consciousness as a result of the nurse withholding key heart medications (without any consultation to her cardiologist as I had clearly insisted). The staff physician was also never around. A physician's assistant did see my mother several times - and her proposed solution to my mother's cardiac symptoms and anxiety (resulting from the all incompetent nursing) was to prescribe tranquilizers. Unbelievable! I am so convinced that if I not been there to refuse those medications on behalf of my mom - she would probably be dead by now. My mother's stay at the Belmont was nothing short of a nightmare. She has now transferred to another facility were she is receiving proper care and real physical therapy. One more thing… when I requested copies of my mother's medical records at the Belmont, they would only be released if she signed an agreement not to hold the Belmont liable for anything.
