We had my 94 year old mother there for less than a week. My granddaughter purchased toiletries for her use while there. Not only did the staff steal these items they also opened and ate a bag of chocolates we had purchased and stole her watch. Since my mother was in isolation it could have only been staff. I have called the facility but no return call. The Thursday nurse even had my daughter drive up there to pick up non existent items.
To finish off my disgust when my mother arrived at her new facility they did an inspection and found that she had fecal matter on her. She had been sitting in urine soaked diapers long enough for the little beads to break out of the diaper and cling over my mom's body. Oh and the last is that she has a bright red rash from sitting in her own waste.
Still waiting on my call and the return of the stolen items.
Of course my mother could not complain much since they ordered her on a synthetic opiate Tramadol for a woman who doesn't even take Tylenol. All they had to do was keep her clean and dry. She did not come from the hospital in that condition.
I can only hope the staff there treats their own family members with better care. Shame on you Soddy-Daisy Healthcare.
