I would agree that this facility's appearance and amenities are very impressive. However, please do not let the glitz fool you, particularly if you are considering this facility for a loved one with Alzheimer's. Do your research and make them explain why they have earned only a one-star rating by the health department. The staff does not have adequate dementia training, and if they do they are not applying it. I learned this the hard way; my husband was recently discharged after just 10 days there. The reason given was that they could not meet his needs. This was devastating! The worst thing for a person with Alzheimer's is to be uprooted abrubtly; familiarity and continuity is paramount for dementia patients. I wanted to pass this along not to be critical, but to hopefully spare others the same awful experience.. Please, please proceed with caution!
