I recently had my Mother stay at Southwestern Nursing Center. She was there from the end of March 2012 through the beginning of May 2012. I must say that I have to disagree with some of the negative comments that are posted about this facility. First of all, despite it's outdate appearance, the facility was remarkably clean. I toured the facility unannounced and there were no offensive odors or unclean areas. The therapy department is very good and the focus on patient rehab was beyond thorough. I found the nursing staff to be friendly and attentive. If it were ever necessary for another family member to come to a skilled facility, I would not hesitate to place them at Southwestern or recommend the facility to a friend.
