My Grandma was released from there yesterday. There were some nice people that I enjoyed that worked with her. The therapists were wonderful, and only a handful of nurses and aides that I thought were competent and sweet. I was upset with the inconsistency that Macrina had. They seem to work with books and books of files. I think it would have worked better if they had set a program on a computer to regulate scripts and their services with the nurses and aides on and off their shifts. The doctor we chose was incompetent at least in our opinion. He didn't check her for a c diff. and she had diarrhea for a month. I personally had to request the doc to request the test. Instead he treated her for the flu even though they tested her negative with the flu twice. WE finally got her tested for c.diff and found her to be positive!! We also found out that they were giving her a stool softener, (how's that with diarrhea?!?!), they blamed the doc for issuing it. Then they took credit for finding it and also took credit for finding that she needed tested for c.diff. Also they sent her home without her script to cure the c.diff and said they were out of it!!~!!!!! It scares me if this is the best nursing home you can get. We also had an aide crank the heat up and shut her door and I reported it and nobody ever followed up about this particular aide. Watch your loved ones!!!! Always!! Nobody else will!!!
