At first glance the facility seemed OK. The building itself was pretty nice. The problems that I have with the place are: They purposely always place the nurse call button where the elderly resident can't reach it. My mother is not the kind of person that would be buzzing all the time, but if she needs it, she is supposed to have it available. I've brought the matter to their attention several times now and they still put it where she can't reach it.
The same thing with the telephone. I've tried to call my mother many many times only to have it ring and ring. Later she'll tell me that she heard the phone ringing but was not able to reach it.
I won't make this too long, but one last thing is the food. They make you fill out a three page form on what the resident is allowed to eat and what is restricted according to their doctor (no salt, etc.) and then they totally ignore these doctor's instructions and feed them the things that they aren't supposed to have anyway. It's extremely frustrating.
