Review of Aristacare at Meadow Springs

3 Star User Review

If you are a past employee of Meadow Spring, unhappy about your termination, that you justly deserved, what should you do?

Easy…give the place a bad review without specifics.

Meadow Spring is NOT a typical nursing facility, its population includes brain, spinal cord injuries, vents, MS, MD patients and much more. Every employee, from NHA to CNAs, LPN, RNs, housekeeping, respiratory, dietary etc strives to do a great job in difficult situations. Too often it's the negative that comes to light, easily forgetting the number of hours we spend with residents. Many have no family. Many have family that visits once a month. Some only at Cristhmas and birthdays….and then all you hear is…" blue sweater is missing"

Be an involved family member, get to know the staff, look after your loved one, bring up issues so that they can be resolved. Please do it in a respectfull manner… please let them know how great of a job they are doing.

Nursing homes are asked to provide more and more and required to do it with less and less each year. Worry about Medicare cuts… You and I are future patients of Nursing homes.

The world is not perfect, neither is Meadow Spring, or any other nursing facility, but it is trying to do a good job in taking care of its residents. The department of health is familiar with the facility and has given it a very good review this year. And, no, you just can't lie your way out of a visit as you do in posting a fake review. The local Ombudsman is also familiar with MS and its residents and is often contacted by MS to seek counsel in dealing with a difficult situation.

Visit the facilities that you are considering for your loved one. Visit more than once, at different times, with and without an appointment. Continue to visit often after you placed your loved one in a facility. Be supportive, respectful, kind and understanding….. we will!
