Review of Bryn Mawr Extended Care Center

The outside of this facility is beautiful, unfortunately it ends there. Upon entering the building odors hit you in the face. I have been to many nursing homes and have never had those odors. The facility needs to invest in deordorizers and humidifiers. There is no menu for patients. Much of the food is full of salt and fat. Nursing care is abyssmal. Families need to be aggressive to get anything done. CNAs do not work well together. The administrator and director of nursing are not accessible by phone. You leave a voice mail and if you are lucky you will get a call 24 hours later. If your loved one is in B wing, there is no wired phone service. They are "working on it" according to the administrator. My sister was there for 45 days,no phone. There is a cell phone available for patients if the staff gives it to them. Unless this is the only choice, GO somewhere else. My sister did give good reviews of their physical therapy department.
