Corn Heritage Village is a model nursing home for all nursing homes. I was an intern through SWOSU for 3 weeks during the summer. My grandmother was in a nursing home in Texas, and I thought all nursing homes were the same. They ARE NOT! It smelled and looked so clean when I walked in the front door, which told me the residents are well-taken care of and tended to. During my short time there, I was able to witness the love and compassion given to each of the residents. I observed the staff laughing, joking and hugging on the residents, which made it very clear the residents and the staff were happy to be there. Family members seemed very pleased with the care and on several occasions they would say, "This is the best nursing home in the state!" and I would agree. I wouldn't have to think twice about moving my mother or father to the Corn Heritage Village. I commend administration for doing such a fantastic job managing and overseeing this facility. God is present there and he shines through the hands and smile of the employees. This is an outstanding facility, just ask their residents, I did!
