I sent my mother to this facility in 5/13. She had a stroke, the home is close to me. My biggest problem with the place is that my mother is incontinent and she often doesn't get changed enough. I and my brother who lives in town are at the facility every evening and on weekends. The STNA turnover is terrible and my mother can't get used to any one STNA. She has Dementia. I am constantly calling the nursing managers to voice my concerns. The weekend staff is always different from the week in many cases and this complicates things greatly.

I am trying to hang in there and don't know what I will run in to if I move her to another facilty. She is almost 90 years old. So I watch her like a hawk. The admimistration is very indifferent to concerns. However, there are helpful nurses but the place is totally understaffed.

The Normandy Manor has been sending my Mom's information regarding activities and some unpaid? bills to her deceased sister's house in Strongsville, Ohio for about three years now. They have not included me in her monthly conference call updates for many years, though I have requested them to do so. I volunteered at The Normandy Manor with my youth group from Lakewood Presbyterian Church in the 1970's, and would appreciate being given more consideration. I encourage the Normandy Manor to ensure that all residents are driven to the Polling location on or before November 6.

They are understaffed. The care is minimal. Weekends and evenings are a good time to come in and see the true operation of this nursing home. Whenever the state is there they have everything looking good. Although the horror stories about other nursing homes makes this a four star rating according to some. If had it to do over would go with a nonprofit and be on the waiting list. Beware where you want your loved one. I advise if you place them here make sure u plan on being there to make sure they are cared for especially if they completely depend on others.
