Review of Woodridge Healthcare

Don't put your loved ones in this facility-especially not the skilled nursing unit on the second floor. My dad was promised a private room, when we got there no private room was available. Eventually they put him in a dirty private room. I had to stay on the staff to follow dad's treatment plan. They frequently forgot to put his TED hose on or his dentures in. Dad needed adaptive equipment to feed himself. We had to ask for it repeatedly. There is no accountability for care. Dad didn't have his TEDs on or his dentures in at dinner, I asked the nurse about it and he told me that wasn't his responsibility. Not "I'll send someone to get "or "I'm sorry"-not the nurse's responsibility. Call lights went unanswered. Dad was incontinent only because he could never get to the bathroom in a timely manner. The call light is usually answered in 45-50 minutes. While the call lights went unanswered, the staff could be found texting and drinking soda. Must be nice to be paid for not doing anything. We were asked to pay more than the facility's published prices even though we had a signed contract. This facility needs a complete overhaul. Whoever is accountable for patient care isn't doing their job. The administrator doesn't care, the nurses don't care, the aides don't care. Don't put anyone you care about here.
